The case of the disappearing snow

As those of you in Montreal are no doubt aware, we had out first big snowfall today. Gwen (of course) wanted badly to go out and play in it. I told her that Calvin would have to nap for that to happen and he (of course) did not oblige. Nap time came and she, in a desperate attempt to not lie down and fall asleep, was standing on her bed looking out the window when the snowplow came to clear our driveway. I was summoned to her room by her despairing wails. When I asked what was the matter she said, in her best woe is me I am very sad voice, "They're taking my snow away!" I managed not to laugh as I reassured her that, indeed, the snow would likely be here until March and that the plow wouldn't touch the grass, only the driveway and the street.
